In the end, Day 3 was exactly what it needed to be: a
reset. It re-centered our minds and muscles. It reminded
us that not all rewards in Costa Rica come from striving
and sweating; some come from yielding and observing.
Aver two days of chasing and straining, we spent a day
practically standing still, and we still saw wonders. It set
us up perfectly for the next phase, because Day 4 would
swing the pendulum back to human-powered motion
— and our last day in the Osa before striking out into
completely new territory.
